Founder & CEO
Margo Tomsey brings over two decades of design excellence from New York City and San Francisco to St. Johns County, Florida. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts in NYC, she mastered drawing, painting, sculpture, illustration, digital video, and graphic design. Her illustrious fashion career included serving as Vice President of Design for Levi's Kids, Global, and Creative Director for Kitex USA where she created the brand Little Star Organic. Margo's passion for textiles and décor was ignited through years of international trend scouting in fashion capitals like Paris, Tokyo, London, and Berlin, and overseeing production in Hong Kong, China, and India. After becoming a proud mother to Scarlett and Beau, she founded Field Flower Collective to create flexible, meaningful work that allows her to be present for both major milestones and everyday moments. Her keen eye for detail, deep appreciation for color, and tactile understanding of fabric and texture now transform St. Augustine area homes into personalized sanctuaries of elevated style.
SVP Design
Nery Vargas-Garcia earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City, majoring in Fashion Design, Illustration, and Graphic Design. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in NYC, Nery brings a rich multicultural perspective and love of global design influences to every project. As a mother to a beautiful daughter, she deeply understands the importance of creating spaces that are both stylish and livable for families. Her passion for DIY projects and proficiency in minimalist design philosophy allow her to craft interiors that feel fresh, uncluttered, and effortlessly elegant. Nery's diverse background includes extensive travel and cultural exploration, which informs her ability to blend international design sensibilities with practical Florida living. Her design approach emphasizes clean lines, thoughtful functionality, and personalized touches that make a house feel like home. At Field Flower Collective, Nery leads design strategy and ensures every project reflects the client's unique story while maintaining the studio's signature blend of luxury and livability.
Director of Operations
Alana Marchese brings exceptional organizational expertise and luxury retail experience to Field Flower Collective as Director of Operations. A proud mother to her son Gianni, Alana has lived throughout North and South Florida, as well as Georgia, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Nevada, and New Jersey, before settling in St. Johns County. Her extensive luxury retail background encompasses merchandising, marketing, customer experience, and operations—skills that translate perfectly into managing complex interior design projects. Known as a master multitasker who can juggle multiple projects without missing a beat, Alana ensures every client experience is seamless from initial consultation through final installation. Her gift for storytelling helps clients envision their transformed spaces, while her operational prowess keeps timelines on track and budgets in check. Alana's diverse geographic experience gives her insight into various design preferences and regional styles, allowing Field Flower Collective to serve clients with varied backgrounds and tastes. Her commitment to both excellence and family values aligns perfectly with the studio's mission of creating flexible, meaningful work that honors both professional ambition and parenting priorities.
