Founder & CEO
Margo Tomsey brings over two decades of creative leadership to Field Flower Collective. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, she mastered drawing, painting, sculpture, illustration, and graphic design. Her illustrious fashion career included serving as Vice President of Design for Levi's Kids, Global, and Creative Director for Kitex USA, where she created the brand Little Star Organic. Throughout her career, Margo scouted inspiration across global fashion capitals including Paris, Amsterdam, London, Tokyo, Berlin, Istanbul, Los Angeles, and Seoul, while overseeing production in Hong Kong, China, and India. Her passion for textiles and décor, sparked during these fashion experiences, led her to transition to interior design in St. Johns County, Florida. As a proud mother of Scarlett (age 10) and Beau (age 6), Margo founded Field Flower Collective to create flexible employment that allows her to be present for both major milestones and everyday moments with her children. Her keen eye for detail, appreciation for color, and tactile understanding of fabric and texture now transform residential and commercial spaces into elevated, livable environments.
SVP Design
Nery Vargas-Garcia earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in New York City, majoring in Fashion Design, Illustration, and Graphic Design. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in NYC, Nery brings a rich cultural perspective and global aesthetic sensibility to her design work. Her love of travel and experiencing new cultures infuses her projects with diverse influences and innovative solutions. A devoted mother to her beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Nery understands the importance of creating spaces that balance style with practicality for modern families. She is passionate about DIY projects and has developed a proficiency in minimalism, creating clean, functional spaces that feel both sophisticated and approachable. Her design philosophy emphasizes simplicity without sacrificing beauty, resulting in interiors that are timeless, elegant, and effortlessly livable. At Field Flower Collective, Nery leads design strategy with a focus on personalized solutions that reflect each client's unique personality and lifestyle.
Director of Operations
Alana Marchese brings extensive luxury retail expertise to Field Flower Collective, with deep experience in merchandising, marketing, customer experience, and operations. A proud mother to her son Gianni—whom she describes as the most affectionate, kind, and sweet little boy—Alana understands the importance of balancing career ambitions with family priorities. Her diverse geographic background includes living across North and South Florida, as well as Georgia, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Nevada, and New Jersey, before settling in St. Johns County, Florida. This exposure to different regions and design aesthetics informs her operational approach and client service philosophy. Known for her gift of storytelling and ability to transform even mundane details into engaging narratives, Alana excels at client communication and project coordination. She is a self-proclaimed master of multitasking, seamlessly juggling multiple projects without missing a beat. Her operational leadership ensures that every Field Flower Collective project runs smoothly from consultation through final installation, delivering exceptional results while maintaining the flexible, family-friendly work environment that defines the company's mission. A die-hard Philadelphia Phillies fan and sunshine seeker, Alana dreams of RV travel across Canada, particularly spending time in Banff and Kelowna.
