Founder & CEO
Margo Tomsey brings over two decades of design leadership to Field Flower Collective. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, she rose to Vice President of Design for Levi's Kids, Global—a role that took her to fashion capitals including Paris, Amsterdam, London, Tokyo, Berlin, Istanbul, Los Angeles, and Seoul. She also served as Creative Director for Kitex USA, where she created the brand Little Star Organic. Her extensive experience negotiating production processes in Hong Kong, China, and India developed her exceptional project management skills. This global perspective, combined with her mastery of textiles, color theory, and spatial composition, informs every commercial project. After relocating to St. Johns County, Florida, Margo founded Field Flower Collective to help businesses create spaces that balance aesthetic excellence with operational functionality. A proud mother of two, she understands the importance of designing environments that support both professional success and personal fulfillment.
SVP Design
Nery Vargas-Garcia graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design, Illustration, and Graphic Design. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in NYC, Nery brings a multicultural design perspective enriched by her passion for travel and experiencing diverse cultures. Her proficiency in minimalist design principles makes her particularly adept at creating clean, functional commercial spaces that maximize impact without overwhelming the senses. Nery's background in graphic design enhances her ability to develop cohesive brand expressions within physical environments. Her DIY expertise allows her to find creative, cost-effective solutions for commercial projects with budget constraints. As a mother, she understands the importance of designing spaces that serve multiple functions while maintaining visual sophistication. Nery's attention to detail and commitment to purposeful design ensure every commercial project element contributes to the overall business narrative.
Director of Operations
Alana Marchese brings extensive luxury retail expertise to Field Flower Collective, with deep experience in merchandising, marketing, customer experience, and operations management. Having lived across North and South Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Nevada, and New Jersey before settling in St. Johns County, she understands how regional differences affect business needs and customer expectations. Her luxury retail background gives her unique insight into creating commercial spaces that drive customer engagement and support brand positioning. Alana's gift for project coordination—what she calls "master multitasking"—ensures commercial design projects stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining quality standards. Her operational expertise means she anticipates potential challenges before they arise, coordinating seamlessly with contractors, vendors, and clients. As a mother, Alana understands the importance of flexible, efficient work environments.
